The Charleston Civic Chorus Concert
This program features works by American composers, including arrangements of American folk music, folk hymns, and spirituals. To highlight our celebration of American composers, we commissioned Maryland composer Daniel McDavitt to write a setting of the Robert Burns Poem "The River of Ayr," which was premiered at our spring concert earlier this year. Artistic Director and Conductor, Dr. Dirk Johnson, has arranged the folk hymn "Jerusalem, My Happy Home" which is also be included on this concert. Visit Charleston Civic Chorus for more information.
