Children’s Art Fair and Kanawha County Public Library Street Fair

Children’s Art Fair and Kanawha County Public Library Street Fair (See daily schedule for times - Library Fair Saturday only)

A perfect combination for two days of family fun: Make & take craft opportunities from invited artisans and groups, a sale of work by children and youth in Kanawha County neighborhood programs, a stage with child-friendly performances, and games and other activities for young children.  On Saturday only at the Kanawha County Public Library Street Fair, events include children’s games and activities on the Library Plaza, WOW Photo Booth, Friends of The Library Bake Sale (10am-2pm) and a used book sale (9am-4pm) on the 3rd floor of the library – all with support from The Friends of the Library Foundation.

Make and Take Artisans include Anna Copenhaver, Boone Dawson, Lisa Dennison, Matt Green, Terry Quentrill, Gary Myatezh, J.D. Williamson, and Trisha Withrow. Groups providing activities for children include Arthritis Foundation, Charleston Parks & Recreation, Kanawha County Library, Kanawha County Extension Master Gardeners, Japan Outreach Initiative Coordinator Megumi Homma, and The Dream Chasers.

Neighborhood partners participating in the Children’s Art Sale are after school programs from Bob Burdette, East End Family Resource Center, Charleston Montessori School, Lighthouse Academy of Learning, Mary C. Snow West Side Elementary After School Program, Mountaineer Montessori, Partnership of African American Churches, The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of St. Albans, The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of Charleston, and WVU Extension Service 4-H Youth Development Program

Children's stage performers to be announced.
