West Virginia Humanities Council presents the 41st annual McCreight Lecture in the Humanities, delivered by author, journalist, and tech humanist Cory Doctorow. He is a 2020 inductee into the Canadian Science Fiction Hall of Fame and author of over two dozen books, including two this year: technothriller Red Team Blues, and a new work of nonfiction, The Internet Con. Doctorow will discuss ways to exert more control of our own digital futures in an increasingly computerized world.
Doors open at 7:00pm.
The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments, Q&A, and book signing will follow the lecture. Find out more at wvhumanities.org
