Local artists have been commissioned to create larger-than-life art installations at homes and businesses in the East End. Check out the Porch Parade map to create your own parade route.  \nNeighborhood stoops\, porches and yards will turn into into works of art with stationary “floats”!  \nThese “floats” will be commissioned by a variety of local artists\, and community members are encouraged to decorate their homes with festive decorations to enhance to overall experience. \nParade goers can choose to drive or walk as they enjoy the FestivALL Porch Parade. \n  \n2023 Porch Parade Artists: Caroline Murphy\, Liz Pavlovic\, Vasilia Scouras & Jeff Pierson\, Brianna Taft\, Elizabeth Turner and more! \nWhere does the parade take place?\n For 2023\, the commissioned “floats” will be concentrated on the East End of Charleston\, WV. \nDid you know that the 1500 Block of Quarrier St. used to be the longest block in the United States? \n																										 \nWant to explore more of Charleston’s public art? DESCRIPTION:Emmet Cahill\, an Irish tenor and former member of the men’s choral group\, Celtic Thunder\, will be giving a concert of traditional Irish tunes combined with other pop and folk music. Critics say\, “not only does Emmet have an outstanding voice\, he is a wonderful Irish storyteller!” His concerts have sold out all over the country\, including Carnegie Hall in New York City. Emmet will be joined by the local groups\, The Opus Chorale of West Virginia under the direction of David Donathan\, the WV State Concert Choir under the direction of Josh O’Dell\, and members of the WVSU Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Scott Woodard. \nTickets are limited.
