Charleston Taco Fest presented by Black Sheep Burrito & Brews
Black Sheep Burrito & Brews is busting loose onto the streets to help kick the FestivALL Capitol Street Art Fair up a notch producing West Virginia’s first Taco Festival - Taco Fest WV - with some eats and beats on the street. Stroll down to Davis Park and the 300 block of Capitol Street to sample more than a dozen taco and food vendors all pumping profits into a number of Charleston charities.
Kick back to live music from The Parachute Brigade, The Dividends, and Tony Harrah Music, and if you dare, enter the hot pepper and taco eating contests. There will also be a Dog Taco Costume Contest, dance performances, awards for the Best Tacos and a kids activity zone.
Enjoy a wide variety of hand-crafted brews from Charleston’s only brewery, Bad Shepherd Beer Company, while enjoying tacos from such commercial vendors as Black Sheep Burrito & Brews, Books and Brews - Elk City, Melange Cafe, Whiskey Taco, The Twisted Taco and vendors will be donating 50 percent of sales to non-profits of their choice.
Also serving up tacos and receiving 100 percent of their sales will be such area non-profits as Rainbow Pride of West Virginia, Inc., CAMC Foundation, Piedmont Elementary School and Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association
General Admission: $20 includes entrance to festival, entertainment and one beer, soda or bottled water ticket. Get tickets at www.tacofestwv.com
Premium Admission: $30 includes entrance to festival, entertainment, 2 taco tickets and 2 drink tickets
Children 10 and under are free with an Adult.
Additional Tacos will be available for $3 each while Bad Shepherd beers will be available for $5.
Taco Fest WV will be just a part of the Capitol Street Art Fair -one of West Virginia’s largest arts and fine crafts street fairs. More than 70 new and returning artisans will display and sell their work in this juried fair dedicated to fine art and fine crafts. In it's 15th year, this staple of FestivALL will bring visitors and residents of Charleston to the iconic Capitol Street to shop and interact with the region's best artists. Street performers and free street stages create a festive atmosphere that provides a little bit of something for everyone.
