The show will be up at the ticketing lobby of The Clay Center from October 11-20 with an Awards Ceremony at Haddad Riverfront Park on Oct. 20 at 3:30pm. \nFREE Event \nThe purpose of the exhibition is to provide a forum for teen student artists to display their work and to recognize excellence. The exhibition will be held in The Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences\, October 11-20\, and will be free and open to the public along with the Awards Ceremony at The Clay Center on October 20 at 3:30pm. A slide show of accepted works will be displayed on the FestivALL Charleston Neighborhood Arts Initiative Facebook page. \nSUBMISSION DEADLINE: Oct. 1 (more details coming soon) \nSee full details\, deadlines and guidelines HERE. \nELIGIBILITY:\nJurying for Art-for-FALL is open to all students in 7th through 12th grades in Boone\, Braxton\, Cabell\, Clay\, Fayette\, Greenbrier\, Jackson\, Kanawha\, Lincoln\, Nicholas\, Putnam\, Raleigh and Roane counties. Each student may submit one entry\, though students may also submit as part of a group piece in addition to the one individual submission. Work needs to have been completed after August 1\, 2023. Artwork can be completed from a school project OR be made at home. There is no theme. \nStudents must be CURRENTLY enrolled in middle school or high schools in the above counties. \nIf you participated in Art-for-ALL Kids’ Juried Art Exhibition in summer 2024 as a 6th grader and are submitting to Art-for-FALL Teen Juried Art Exhibition as a 7th grader\, we ask that you make sure you are submitting different artwork.

His first novel\, The Ballad of Trenchmouth Taggart was a finalist for the 2008 National Book Critics Circle Award. Glenn’s work has appeared in such venues as the Oxford American\, The Guardian\, Gulf Coast\, and Huizache. Born and raised in Huntington\, West Virginia\, he now resides with his family in Morgantown\, where he is at work on a new novel. \n  \n  \n																										 \nNatalie Sypolt\nNatalie Sypolt lives and writes in West Virginia. She is the author of The Sound of Holding Your Breath (2018\, West Virginia University Press) and second book\, tentatively titled If Only the Rain Would Come\, is set to be published by University Press of Kentucky in 2026. Her work has appeared in Glimmer Train\, Appalachian Review\, Still: The Journal\, r.kv.r.y.\, Superstition Review\, Paste\, Willow Springs Review\, and The Kenyon Review Online\, among other fine journals.  Natalie is the former President of the Appalachian Studies Association\, has taught in the low-residency MFA Program at West Virginia Wesleyan College\, and works as an Associate Professor of English at Pierpont Community & Technical College. \n  \n																										 \nMarie Manilla\nWest Virginia native Marie Manilla is a graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. Her novel\, The Patron Saint of Ugly\, received The Weatherford Award. Shrapnel won The Fred Bonnie Award for Best First Novel. Stories in her collection\, Still Life with Plums\, first appeared in the Chicago Tribune\, Prairie Schooner\, Mississippi Review\, and other journals. Her essays have appeared in Word Riot\, Cossack Review\, Gargoyle\, and elsewhere. Marie lives in her hometown of Huntington with her husband\, Don Primerano. \n Learn more about Marie here.
