YJAM is an annual campaign where advocates unite to organize digital and in-person events to raise awareness and inspire action for young people impacted by the justice system. \nThis exhibit will feature student artwork centered around the reflection of growth and transformation that is witnessed in youth every day.

DESCRIPTION:“Why We Stayed: The Forgotten Victims of Domestic Violence Speak”\n“Why We Stayed” is a theatrical production by the Contemporary Youth Arts Company (CYAC) that explores the complex reasons people remain in abusive relationships\, focusing on the often-ignored struggles of “forgotten victims” of domestic violence. The play portrays the daily realities of survival for diverse characters—from mothers and police officers to convicts and neighbors—highlighting the societal barriers\, personal struggles\, and emotional entrapments that prevent people from leaving abusive situations. The production serves as a fundraising event for the YWCA’s Resolve Family Abuse Program\, aiming to give voice to survivors and foster understanding of these difficult issues. \n  \nTickets: $15 (Adult) $10 (student/senior). \nRated PG 13 due to mature language and subject material \n\nPURCHASE TICKETS HERE!
