Three Things, produced by Jeff Shirley, presents 3 unique professionals discussing their first, favorite and future works, revealing a side not often seen by the public. Learn what inspires and drives some of your favorite area professionals at this live monthly speaker series. Guests include actress Eliska Hahn, musician  Phil Washington, and filmmaker Elaine McMillion Sheldon

Eliska Hahn – Actress – The Kingwood, WV native is probably most known for starring in the film “Strangest Dreams: Invasion of the Space Preachers” She is currently in the production of “Hatfields and McCoys” and recently was in “Paradise Park the Musical”, both at Theater West Virginia. She has also hosted hundreds of Radio Shows, was a professional figure skater and coach, a photographer, painter, model, voiceover talent, and more.




Phil Washington – Musician – Originally from Detroit, Phil received his Master’s in Music from Marshall University. He teaches guitar at West Virginia State University, is the on-air talent for WV Lottery, and is and actor and musician for many stage productions in the area. As a performer, he has played with jazz greats Wynton Marsalis and Doc Severinsen.




Elaine McMillon Sheldon – Filmmaker – Elaine is a Peabody Award winner and an Academy Award and Emmy Nominated director. She received her MFA from Emerson College, and her BA from WVU. Recently released her first feature documentary, “Recovery Boys”, a Netflix Original Documentary. This follows the 2018 Oscar nominated documentary, “Heroin(e)”.
