“Why We Stayed: The Forgotten Victims of Domestic Violence Speak”

The play portrays the daily realities of survival for diverse characters—from mothers and police officers to convicts and neighbors—highlighting the societal barriers, personal struggles, and emotional entrapments that prevent people from leaving abusive situations. The production serves as a fundraising event for the YWCA’s Resolve Family Abuse Program, aiming to give voice to survivors and foster understanding of these difficult issues.
