  • Children’s Art Fair

    The Children’s Art Fair is the perfect two days of family fun! The Children’s Art Fair & Sale offers young artists the chance to interact with each other and the public. Invited artists and groups offer free make-and-take art activities, kid-friendly performances take the stage all day long, and children have the opportunity to participate in art instruction provided by FestivALL leading up to the fair sell their works.

    Enjoy the Kanawha County Public Library’s Summer Library Club Super Saturday event with art activities, a Used Book Sale, games and more from 12pm-4pm!

    Make sure to check out the Downtown Open, the KCPL’s SLC Super Saturday, Capitol Street Art Fair, and more while you are there!

  • Charleston Light Opera Guild presents ‘Putting it Together’

    Back by popular demand and one-night only! 

    The Charleston Light Opera Guild will present Putting It Together, featuring the songs of lyricist/composer Stephen Sondheim from 13 of his
    musical theater productions and is a review with a plot.

    A married couple hosts the husband’s young business associate, along with an uninvited guest, at a house party following a black-tie event. The 5 reflect on the complexities of modern relationships. 

    The Guild’s 5 member cast consists of Rudi Arrowood, Chris Terpening, Christa Navy, Cedrick Farmer and Jacob Fleck, staged by Nina Denton Pasinetti with a combo led by musical director/accompanist David Patrick. All cast and company members have received the coronavirus vaccine.

    The Guild has proudly served the Charleston, West Virginia area since 1949.

    Art-for-ALL Kids’ Juried Art Exhibition

    June 14-23 | Clay Center Hours

    Art-for-ALL is a juried art exhibition open to children in grades Pre-K through 6th in 13 WV counties at The Clay Center.

    Check out the exhibition in the Ticketing Lobby of the Clay Center or on the FestivALL Neighborhood Arts Facebook page

    Exhibition open during Clay Center hours:

    Tuesday-Saturday | 10am-5pm

    Sunday | 12pm-5pm

    Monday | Closed

    The exhibition will close with an awards ceremony on June 23rd at 1:30pm in the Susan Runyan Maier Sculpture Garden at The Clay Center.

  • Ice Cream & The Arts

    Fun for the whole family!

    Ice Cream & the Arts is a street fair and chalk art festival in the Elk City District of the West Side produced by Charleston Main Streets.

    Free ice cream is available to attendees as local artists and The Chalking Dad Erik Greenawalt create their own chalk masterpieces. Attendees can enjoy numerous participatory art activities as well!

    Using the colors of the rainbow, businesses throughout Charleston use their storefronts to turn the city in to a work of art! Vote for your favorite on the Rainbow Pride WV Facebook page through June 15th.
