    The West Virginia Book Festival is a free annual event for book lovers of all ages.

    Featuring programs by local and international bestselling authors such as Joy Callaway, Gregg Hurwitz, Sadeqa Johnson, Gene Luen Yang, and Mia Manansala. In addition to this, enjoy the Used Book Sale and a Festival Marketplace.

    Downtown Charleston ArtWalk


    Enjoy Charleston’s free, premiere art event that brings you fine art, fashion, crafts, antiques, food and much more! Wander through shops, galleries, and businesses along Quarrier, Capitol, Lee, Summers, and Hale Streets, and discover regional art, performances, and unique finds.

  • Sunset Yoga

    Sunset Yoga

    Close out the final day and final hours of FestivFALL with a free yoga class as the sunsets over the Kanawha River. 

     

    Instructor: Randy Boyd

    Randy is one of West Virginia’s most highly trained yoga teachers. He completed a 200 hour teacher training with Todd Norian in the Anusara school of Yoga in 2007. In 2012, he completed his first 500 hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training through the Anusara method. In 2016 he completed an advanced certification in the Ashaya Yoga Advanced 300 hour Teacher Training.

  • Art-After-Dark

    Art-After-Dark

    When the gallery lights go down, the party lights come up for Art After Dark! Enjoy an evening of art, entertainment, and interactive fun in the Juliet Art Museum, with free admission!

    Explore the current exhibitions along with live performances by local musicians, take home art activities, and free parking during Downtown Charleston’s Art Walk!

    Current Exhibition:
    Author and illustrator Rosalie Haizlett kicks off her new book tour with this traveling exhibit featuring watercolor paintings from her manuscript. The illustrations feature a combination of vibrant landscapes, hand-drawn maps, and close-up views of the tiny plants, animals, and fungi that Haizlett observed during a six-month trip through the entire Appalachian Mountain range (from Alabama to Newfoundland) in 2022. The exhibit replicates stepping into a whimsical field guide.

  • The Wine & Jazz Music Festival


    Are you a fan of great music, amazing drinks, and tasty food? Then you won’t want to miss the 2024 Wine & Jazz Music Festival presented by Fund for the Arts and co-presenter, Spilman Thomas & Battle! Taking place on the lush lawn at the University of Charleston, this year’s Festival promises to be the city’s premier summer party. The event will feature live music from renowned musicians, delicious food selections, and superb wines and beer! Not only is this Festival a great way to have fun, but it’s also for a good cause. Fund for the Arts is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting arts and cultural organizations throughout the Charleston area. By attending the Festival, you’ll be supporting our mission and helping to ensure that the arts continue to thrive in our community.

    Location: University of Charleston, 2300 MacCorkle Ave. SE Tickets: $40 (until June 8th); $50 (starting June 9th). Online ticket sales will end Friday, June 21st at 9pm, but tickets will still be available to purchase on Saturday for $50 at the Main Gate.

    WV Poet Laureate Marc Harshman along with poets Randi Ward & David Prather will create original, one-of-a-kind poems designed just for you!

    Visit the poets in the Taylor Books Annex Gallery, select a topic, and they’ll begin writing!

    $5 suggested donation to purchase a poem goes back to FestivALL. Thank you for your support!

  • Art After Dark

    Enjoy an evening of art, entertainment, and interactive fun in the Juliet Art Museum, for FREE! This month, we are debuting a new exhibition celebrating the life and work of beloved Charleston artist Charles Jupiter Hamilton!

    And it’s the last chance to see our contemporary rug hooking exhibition “Stories are Made Loop by Loop.”

    We’ll have live music by the Carpenter Ants and a take-home activity, too!

    Grab a snack from our Curiosity Café, or a drink from our cash bar. Park for FREE in our lot beginning at 5 pm, to start and end your Downtown Charleston Art Walk with the Clay Center

  • Downtown ArtWalk

    Stroll downtown Charleston, WV and visit unique businesses, featuring area artists showcasing their diverse talents! Enjoy street performers, live music, musical easels, and more as you move through the venues!

    Participating shops are located along Quarrier, Capitol, Lee, Summers and Hale streets in Downtown Charleston and feature a variety of art and goods – from paintings and sculptures to photography and music. Attendees can stroll along at their own pace, dip in and out of stores and stop off along the way for a bite to eat at a downtown restaurant.

    Downtown Charleston ArtWalk is a free, self-guided walking tour of Charleston’s shops, galleries and businesses featuring regional art, performances, crafts, fashion, antiques and much more. Typically held the third Thursday of each month, participating shops and organizations extend their hours for browsing, shopping and mingling.
