    Rise and Thrive: A Celebration of Resilience for Justice-Impacted Youth

    WVSDT‘s art exhibit, taking place in the windows of The Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation, is being held in conjunction with Youth Justice Action Month (YJAM). 

    YJAM is an annual campaign where advocates unite to organize digital and in-person events to raise awareness and inspire action for young people impacted by the justice system. 

    The exhibit will feature student artwork centered around the themes of resilience and personal strength and will be on display in the windows of The Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation from Oct. 8-24. 


  • ARTbus Unveiling

    A new Charleston ARTbus will roll into town during FestivFALL!

    Designs have been submitted and one design has been chosen!  This mobile mural will be the first youth design and will be unveiled on Oct. 15 when it will begin transporting thousands of commuters!

    Downtown Charleston ArtWalk


    Enjoy Charleston’s free, premiere art event that brings you fine art, fashion, crafts, antiques, food and much more! Wander through shops, galleries, and businesses along Quarrier, Capitol, Lee, Summers, and Hale Streets, and discover regional art, performances, and unique finds.

    Carriage Trail Leaf Walk

     Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 1-4pm

    Enjoy the arts outside during FestivFALL. Experience the charm of the Sunrise Carriage Trail amid fall foliage as you walk along the .65 mile trail taking in the sites and sounds of live music, art, dance, and more.

    Be aware that the trail is a wide gravel way approximately one half mile long and has a moderately steep incline.

    Dogs on leashes are welcome.

    Location/Parking: Sunrise Carriage Trail, 746 Myrtle Rd. Parking is limited. We recommend parking at Farmer, Cline, Campbell PLLC at the top of the trail or across the bridge in downtown Charleston.

    Parking is limited at the bottom of  top of the trail, but a trolley will run continuously from 12:45PM-4:15PM taking attendees from the top of the Carriage Trail to the Founders Day Program at Springhill Cemetery before looping back through and stopping on Capitol Street.

  • 2024 Art-for-FALL Teen Juried Art Exhibition Awards Ceremony

    FestivALL presents Art-for-FALL Teen Juried Art Exhibition Awards Ceremony at Haddad Riverfront Park! Attendees will experience talent from budding artists in grades 7th through 12th from 13 West Virginia counties.

    This awards ceremony will recognize all the participants and winners of this 13-county teen juried art exhibition.

    A City Becomes a Work of Art

    A city-wide, multi-arts festival in Charleston, WV showcasing a mix of music, theater, dance, visual art, and more each June. Nestled in the heart of Appalachia, over 100 FestivALL events will take place in more than 50 locations across the city of Charleston, ranging from outdoor spaces to theaters to intimate galleries and event spaces. Join the capital city community in celebrating ALL of the arts, performed by local, national, and international talent.

    FestivALL directly produces some events, co-produces some events and presents some events that are produced by other individuals and organizations.

    Public Art Bike Tour

    Sam Nygaard is back and providing another special tour of Charleston’s works of art. Bring your bike and learn about the public works displayed in our city.

    The tour will start at the Lee St. Triangle. Meet ready to ride with your helmet!

    A city-wide, multi-arts festival in Charleston, WV showcasing a mix of music, theater, dance, visual art, and more each June.     Ice Cream & the Arts is a street fair and chalk art festival in the Elk City District of the West Side.

    Free ice cream is available to attendees as local artists and chalk artists create their own chalk masterpieces.

    Attendees can enjoy numerous participatory art activities as well.

  • Public Art Mural Bike Tour

    Learn about Charleston’s public art scene from the seat of your own bike!

    Celebrate 20 years of FestivALL with West Virginia Pedal Pals on a 90-minute guided bike tour of the vibrant murals of over 20 vibrant murals and public art installations in the capital city’s Downtown and East End neighborhoods.

    Meet at Taylor Books at 5:30pm, ride will begin promptly at 6pm.

    Bring your own bike and don’t forget your helmet!

    This event is free and welcome to all.

  • Carriage Trail Walk with Music, Art, Dance

    Take a shaded stroll on the charming Sunrise Carriage Trail with music, dance, and art along the way.

    Performances include music by Nolan Collins, an interactive jam session with Mark Davis & Andy Park, dance performances with JADCO Contemporary Dance Company, form drawing lessons with Megan Dailey and more.
